      Not your average WILDing question

yeah it is your average question butread on for exciting questions.
Ive been kinda not posting for a while but anyways. So Ive only really ever tried wilding. I think Ive gotten pretty close but the same thing happens everythime. I get pretty good sp then I see the visuall geometric immagery and then i get physical sensations. So i guess I have a few questions. First off what is the difference between HI and visual imagery? Plus general advice? Should I be doing moredaydreaming during the halucinations. Thank you all.

HI means hypnagogic imagery. So visual hallucinations or images you see when you wake up or go to sleep. I never heard of visual imagery, at least that it has some special meaning. It's useful to concentrate on the images in your mind, since in the end all sensations get transfered from external to internal. You can watch your eyelids, but it's good to have a "daydream" focus, so look past the images not directly at them. That usually enhances the amount and detail of images.

cool thanks for your response. So I should be focusing on making a daydream and NOT looking at the stuff on my eyelids? ALso is the sleeping 5-6 hours really important? Is i possible to WILD without sleep prior?

It's possible but much harder and less rewarding. WBTB (sleeping first) makes it so that you can WILD directly into long, quality REM periods. When you first go to sleep, you have to pass through some non-REM periods of sleep first (about an hour or two) and then you get a short REM period.

It's your choice. I suggest experimenting with the things I said (zoning out, daydreaming...). You certanly may look at you HI, and if you do it doesn't mean that the WILD proces will be harder, everybody reacts differently. So experiment as much as you can, you never know what you might find out.
As webmaster said. You can do it with WBTB or just do it whenever you like. How much succes you'll have depends on your discipline, practice, personal preference etc.
