Have you got a method that when used almost guarantees a ld?

I have got this method which probably alot of other people use but for me it works almost every time but i don't know why. It's a form of (MILD), i just wake after about 4 to 5 hours, get up and go for a walk around my house to wake my mind up then go to bed and repeat whatever phrase i choose. Last night i chose "i will realise i am dreaming" and i did just that. I remember becoming lucid spontaneously but my dream self felt like it had been run over by a car and if i tryed to walk it was like slow motion, so i decided to wake up. That was the first time i have used that method for quite a while and it worked for me again.

      Have you got a technique?

I am pretty sure what you described was WBTB more than MILD...

But no I have no technique whatsoever because I haven't been lucid in almost ten years (except for once which I have now written off as not really counting... maybe its because a ten year dry spell and sticking at it sounds better than a two year dry spell lol)

It's kind of a combination of both techniques except with wbtb you are supposed to stay up at least half an hour, well whatever i is it does the job. I can't praise you enough for being on a 10 year dry spell and still trying to achieve lucidity.

Yep - My technique I use works all the time, I think I posted it a month or two ago. Has only failed me twice since trying it, but in those two times I was too tired to try and work up in the wrong mindset to LD.

But any other time I have tried it worked

The technique that has never failed me is going to bed expecting to LD. I would do this every night, but more often than not I am too sleepy these days to really care.

Well your not gonna find a simpler technique than that.
