Not long ago I read Yuschak's book on Advanced Lucid dreaming and tried the galantamine and choline "G/C" combo with excellent results. This experience has given me a lot more confidence and interest in learning how to WILD.

In Yuschak's text, he describes a number of wake to sleep transitions. One which he's only had a few times involves head vibrations (or at least the feeling of such) before transitioning into a LD.

For me, all of my WILDs on G/C produce this effect. Maybe I'm lucky - because there's no mistaking the feeling. However, this clued me into something quite interesting. That sensation is nothing new. I've had it many times before. I simply never realized that if you focus on it and relax that it starts to "resonate" and can drive your consciousness into a LD state. In fact I remember this feeling all the way back to my childhood. I simpy didn't know what to do with it.

I don't know how many other people experience this sensation and simply don't know how to negotiate the process. So here's my simple algorithm:

1) Do a WBTB after 5-6 hours of sleep, so you have sufficient acetylcholine built up naturally in order to hit REM directly.

2) Choose your favorite sleep position and just relax and try to fall asleep. Affirmations and such couldn't hurt obviously (I will WILD, etc ...).

3) When you start feeling a slight wavy oscillating feeling about your head, don't move. Focus on it, but submit to the feeling. This unsteadiness can grow to a very intense vibration feeling.

4) The vibration can last up to a minute or so. Don't get scarred or distracted.

5) I know I'm dreaming when one of two things (or both) happen. I will either feel my body translate - a falling or floating feeling. Or I will see a burst of tiny discreet stars which slowly scatter from my field of vision. At this point I can open my eyes and get up and do a RC. I'm dreamng but right back from where I fell asleep in the first place.

I had this experience last night wo/ G/C. So it clearly does not need supplement support. I had the coolest flying dream, breaking through the clouds and hovering over them, able to see for miles in all directions with the sun beating down on me. Awesome.

I hope this helps someone. I've always focused more on hypnagogic image techniques for WILDS as that seems most popular. In my case, that doesn't help, but this rather simple technique has served me well in the last few weeks.

Enjoy.
