      Would music affect gaining lucidity?

I always listen to music while falling asleep, and I'm wondering if this would prevent me from becoming lucid at all? I know once that I had a very very brief LD, in which music was playing and I'm about 90% sure it was the music that was actually playing into my ears in real life.

      Any thoughts?

Nope not at all, I always go to bed with it on. I have a 5.1 system around my bed (I like to watch scary movies in bed, girl like to hug more then they are scared lol). And I have to say the dreams seem more vivid when I have music on, because they have an influence in my dreams.

Maybe try a week on, then week off and see what results you get?

Well, I almost always go to sleep with some type of music playing and usually hear a bit of it in my sleep, occassionally getting me lucid. I recommend you play some music with varying beats...I think speedy beats after slow ones helping you fall asleep my truly increase your awareness...I know for a face that if playing a certain song to get to sleep, you will eventually hear it during sleep...conditioning. Give it a try...try the same song for a week or so and record any results while varying the volume, times of playing it and all.
