Darkness is common, I think. It still happens to me sometimes even after many, many successful LDs. One thing I've tried is saying something affirming out loud, such as "The sun will rise in 1 minute!" It often works! |

twice just last night i did a succesfull RC and relized i was dreaming. and both times everything went totaly dark and my eyes seemed to be stuck shut. the first time i tried to open them, to no avail. the second time i tried to imagine a dream world around me, again nothing happened. anybody had this experiance before and what can i do to prevent it. |

What Sky Saw - a lucid dreaming journal
Try thinking about the dream that you were having, remember what was going on. Your brain got confused because there was a major change (you realized it was only a dream,) so if you act like nothing happened and reenter the dream then it should stabilized. |

Also try to forget about your body in bed. Try to "anchor" your dreambody by stroking your hands each other. Skysaw's method works for me too. |
