      Vibrations create excitement!!!

I had my first LD/WILD/OBE the other night and last night when I tried to repeat the event, I just became very excited when I started to feel the vibrations. My problem then was I was concentrating on tring to get lucid and not on not concentrating or something. Basicly, are there anything to do other then trial and error on not becoming excited in anticipation for a lucid dream? Also are there any excercises to do when lucid to increase your ability at lucidy? I was reading various threads on differnt things to do which are fun but are there any tips and tricks such as spinning to save a dream or a FA?

I dont know, i think staying calm is the most important thing, and look at small details, like look at your hands etc, i think concentrating on such things and not thinking about waking up will help.

I also hear that verbal commands (such as shouting "increase lucidity") help but i have never tried this.

Your just going to have to overcome the excitement I guess and be more calm about it. Umm, how about not focusing on having a lucid dream. That usually brings anxiety unless you are trying to MILD.

What works best for me in increasing Lucidity is to shout increase clarity really loud and mean it or something to that effect. Another why is to recite your phone number, your first and last name, and your street address. See how that works for you.

I have almost teh same thing. The moment I start to feel vibrations and

energy rush, I take control of my breathing.... and cant let go....

So the rush fades, as I keep breathing

this thingie ruined a lot of my WILD attempts.

Argh I have the same problem. Usually for me, I wait for it to fade and then just continue. I think, though, that you've just got to have experience so that it will be relaxing instead of exciting.

Sometimes i get excited ... er .... 'down there' ... which is a real progress-stopper. Same as before though, it fades.

ditto to the exitement down south, annoying

yeah the verbal commands, usualy they work as a temporary measure but it fades after awhile for me, recently ive started using a new method for keeping the lucidity that i saw-ah-someplace , i grab one of my arms with my other hand and the combined feeling of my hand holding my arm is enough to keep it stable.

Last night i focused on my breathing and that helped, as soon as I started to enter my wild dream, my cell phone rang, as i woke to answer, i did an RC and sure enough it was real When I came back I was too tired to WILD and i just fell asleep.
