      WILD help

well last night i tryed to wild, it wasn't my first time trying, prob second or third, but those times i wasn't successful. any way i was lying in bed not moving a muscle and i kept saying to myself "i will lucid dream. i will go from awake to lucidity." after 30ish min i felt a small tingling in my left leg that lasted about 5 min then went away, 5-10 min laster it came back but in both legs, it lasted about 5 min, then it went away. then 5-10 min later nothing happened and i had to go to the bathroom really bad, so i got up and went to the bathroom...
Did i do the WILD right before i got up?

no, i know what it is and how to do it it just nothing happened and i was lying there for 45-50 min, all that really happened was a really small tingling sensation in my legs then it went away then i waited 10 min and nothing happened.

Were you maybe getting to excited about what was possibly happening? I had this problem when I first started. I would be thinking something along the lines of "yay, here we go" and then I'd snap out of it.

Just keep at it, eventually you will get used to the sensations and know what to expect and it will become easier to stay relaxed through it all.

That's strange. I didn't even know WILDs had sexual orientations.

      peanut_butter...

I think I understand the confusion. you said "did I do the WILD right before I got up". Which people took to mean that you thought you had to get up after relaxing or something like that. I think I understand what meant.

"was I doing the right thing before I gave up?"

yes/no. sounds like you have the right idea

      Its possible you were
      a) too excited (practise will fix this)
      b) too awake (try a shorter WBTB maybe)
      c) having an 'off day' (just try again another night)

go browse in the Attaining Lucidity and General threads...for things about WILD...because many people have similar problems...me for one....still practiscing

heres a thread you may find helpful.
