      Problem getting lucid

Lately I try to WILD and I feel the orgasm of a lucid dream but then i just seem to fall into a deep sleep skipping the dream stage. It sucks. What can I do?

Are you getting enough sleep lately? I've been experiencing something similar. It seems I just cannot stay focussed enough and then fall into a deep sleep or a normal dream.

You are getting at least 7 hours a night(not counting the time you are doing WILD), right?

interesting... i have often had this problem, i think its because of the fact, i'd rather sleep during the day during night.. so i'm an insomniac at night, and almost a narcoleptic during the day (well not that bad, but i get sleep attacks once in awile).

Many times i'll WILD and be in the state, but will be to mentally tired to try anything.. so i spend my time in either darkness or light until i hit normal sleep.

No, I am closer to the 5-6 hours a night, with naps when avalible durning the day. FT student/ FT employee takes a toll at your sleep peroid. Also I found that I can only WILD while on my back, not my side where I am most likely to fall asleep.

That's my problem as well. When I get less than 7 hours of sleep at night, my dreams a really fuzzy and vague, if I can even recall them at all! And then if I try to nap in the day, it makes my night sleep even shorter. Course I have insomnia. I have to be in "remission" to have good dream recall and LDs.

I think doing WILDs on your back is normal though. Or maybe even requisite. Anyone can correct me on that one?

I can't achieve WILDS yet, but I get *much* closer to achieving one if I'm on my back. I don't have even an ounce of success in any other position.

BTW, sometimes if I lay awake on my back (any time of night), I picture my hands folded over my stomach.. and then in about a minute, it seems like they're getting farther and farther away, and that the rest of my body is slowly disappearing out from under me. Is this sort of what a WILD is supposed to be like? I don't do the WILD technique in these cases, it just happens when I'm generally comfortable and relaxed.

Yep - thats the beginning of a WILD
In my case, spinning, and sinking. Heavy feeling.
Other things you can have are vibrations, sounds and HI ... mini senseless dreams and pictures...

I don't get very much sleep, but no matter how much I sleep (whether it's 20 minutes or 8 hours), I always dream, and they are usually very clear to me. I dont know why. I think maybe I'm just weird.

I thought it was just me. I can't even attempt it in any other position. If I lay on my stomach I feel my heart too much, if Im on my side, I just have trouble getting out of my akwardly positioned physical body and into my astral body.

Yeah same here! I also have to have my hands on my stomach.. and make sure they're not touching. lol

I have a quick question, when the vibrations start, do you find it better to concentrate on them or ignore them?

You kinda "acknowledge" their presense, knowing you will be in a dream

soon. Not really focus or ignore. just lay there expecting to enter a dream.

main thing is - dont try focusing on your body, or you may snap out of it.

WHen a WILD works for me, I feel like I mentally move into the vibrations. Hard to explain. It's like I'm creating my dream body and starting to move with it. Then I lay there for a minute and my "new body" forms. When It hasnt worked for me, I focus on the vibrations and get too excited about them happening.

my first and full WILD had my dream body OBE from my WILD sleeping body. I have a feeling it is one of the only ways for your brain to make that physical/metaphysical seperation.

Refer to Tutorial Section on WBTB Method. Great and popular way to induce lucid dreams.
