Question Reading about it ... My question ...

      Hey guys,

I haven't tried getting Lucid in a while, so I thought - get the journal going again and get tryn'! I've already started recognising my new dreamsign as 'spreadsheets' (how boring!).

      Anyways ....
I was browsing over my old posts to jog my memory and I found my old method! How cool! Obviously this will help me, but my question is more general.

To what extent (if any) do you believe reading about dreaming, helps you to lucid dream?

      I would appreciate your views!

      Thanks,

      /Evs

      Welcome back Evs!

I think reading about dreaming does help to a great extent.. I learn new things to try and, if nothing else, it keeps lucid dreaming in my thoughts!

      (still loving your avatar!)

It definitely helps me. I get really engaged in what I'm reading. There have been two days in the past few weeks that I spent a lot of time reading Exploring the World of Lucid Dreaming, and I got lucid both of those nights. I've ordered another book, The Lucid Dreamer, but reading the forums are also a great help.

      Thanks for the replies guys!

@ Strinky: I'm planning to get some LD books soon, so thanks for the backup on this!

@ Clarity: Yes, thinking about LDs is where I slipped up last time - I had too much other stuff on my mind and so LDing faded and faded.

By the way, Clarity; I think your avatar isn't too bad either!

      It helps me out alot.

When I get desperate for a lucid dream I come online before bed and peruse everyone's dream journals, picking out their lucid dreams specifically. Usually that night or with in a couple of days I have a LD.

I think that keeping all this info freshly circulating in the mind, new and old, helps keep it all there at the forefront and can makes it easier to LD.
