I don't quite understand the question but lucidity is when you become aware you are dreaming, if you realize you are dreaming you have achieved lucidity. |

This guy was saying how he hasn't attained lucidity, even though in his dreams he says "I'm dreaming". I recall one dream I had, a long time ago, maybe a year or two. I knew that what was going on couldn't be happening, so I suggested that I was dreaming, but I didn't wake up (I was unaware of the existence of lucid dreaming) and went on with my dream. Is lucidity something that just happens when you realize you're dreaming, or is there a process in the middle of the dream? |

Lucidity can come about in a variety of ways. Sometimes, you go straight from waking state to a lucid dream without losing consciousness. At other times, you suddenly realize in the dream that you're dreaming. And sometimes it's a gradual realization (this is how it's been in my short experience). For a brief list of how lucid dreams can come about, see the acronym list. Does that help? |
