Eating lucid inducing foods before REM period

Do you think i should drink caffine or eat bananas an hour before REM period so the foods would digest and i would be able to use the vitamins and nutrients in these substances during REM period to help me lucid dream? Hopefully i didn't confuse you what i really meant was if i should use vitamin B6 or foods that contain it so during REM period i can have a better chance of attaing lucidity. Thanks for the help please reply even if you just read this post

In case of B6 I noticed a certain pattern:

It takes a while to digest (I'm taking it in a pill). Then it produces a "flash

of awareness" - suddenly you realize that it's all a dream. Very unusual,

as this thought is not provoked by anything, it just appears out of

nowhere. [So it may be better to take it as a concentrated pill]

Usually it takes a good while to digest (in case of pill about 1 hour or so)

This realization that you are dreaming can take many forms, and

sometimes it is violent (I remember some force grabbing me from a

dream and violently throwing me in my room. At this point I was aware).

      So be prepared for anything.

Also, you may wake up, but your REM circle is broken, and you can try

WILD with very high success chance.

if you fail first WILD, remember that you can chain WILD till you get into a LD..

So, yes, you should use B6 to increase your chance of lucidity.

if i take b6, I have no LD's the night i take it, then the next 2 days i have them like crazy.. no idea why since b6 is supposed to be flushed out like every day. Caffeine has generally been bad for me before sleep.. it just induces insomnia which leads me to less sleep and less time in REM.

I'm sorry, this is kind of off topic, but someone mentioned WILDS..

Do you think playing very soft music on a radio would help a WILD or not?

I doubt it will help you :/

During the transition phase, you focus on entering WILD, and music may distract you

Well B6 is sold at any local grocery store/convenience store, whatever.. it's in the same isle as all other vitamin supplements/herbs.. also not far from things like advil/tylenol/benadryl.

Let's see... foods with B6: Sweet potatoes, Bananas, Mangoes, Rice, brown, Sunflower seeds, Tuna, Chick-peas, Salmon, Pork, fresh, Potatoes, Turkey, Chicken, Bok choy, Barley, Avocados..

Got all that from others' responses, of course.

But someone else also mentioned that those foods contain a small percentage, whereas one supplement pill will contain like %300 of the daily value.

Really? Then I guess I'll go buy some. Now I just have to explain to my parents why I'm buying them and that there not harmful. hmmm it'll be interesting to see their reaction

      Don't tell your parents.

Or just say someone recommended them to restore sleep patterns or something. lol You can find stuff on the net and print it out as proof.

good idea. It's just that i dont really want to buy it behind their backs because if they find them one day, they'll probably think im taking pills for other purposes, or find it HIGHLY strange that im taking them.

      Scwigglie

In response to Scwigglie's inquiry about the soft music being played to help Induce a WILD....I've tried it, but it's very very difficult to maintain the concentration needed to acheive a WILD. I came fairly close, but it eventually wavered and failed. so i'd recommend a clean sleep with no noise or any other distractions.

For those who feel depressed, or any symptons of depression (lack of self-confidence, loss of will to do anything, loss of desire to wake up, consistently sleeping, etc. etc.) I recommend taking Vitamin B6 or trying to incorporate more food that involve this vitamin before seeking professional help.

A banana is half a mg per 100 grams. I'd say 1 banana weights about 300 grams. I think one B6 pill is like 6mg... but thats a random guess.

Yeah eating just bananas won't do much.. unless you eat a LOT..

I have to say, though, that all B6 does for me is makes me hear really LOUD noises in my room, like the house is breaking.

if you want results go with b6. bananas have like 8% of b6 and the pills have like 300%. guess which one's going to work more

      Hey! Barbizzle!!

LewisM pretty much listed all the foods there are with B6. I say go with the pill.. I mean.. you can get it at any local store, in the vitamin section, so it's pretty harmless! Unless of course you take them all at once or something.. And they're very cheap. I got like 100 of them for $6. 100mg each.

2mg of B6 is your daily requirement. (2000 calorie diet) I have B6, but it's with many other vitamins and minerals. Are their any that are counterproductive to dreaming?

EDIT: Nevermind, just picked up a bottle. I have had only limited success with lucidity, but I will report back in the morning. I plan on taking 200mg combined with HILD.
