      Hild

How hard is HILD for a beginner?

It took WAY TOO LONG - but was completely worth it.

My first instance of HILD wasn't self induced.

I had three good long lucids my first night. It was AWESOME. Best lucids I ever had. I also made it to the Lucid Crossroads, which I had been attempting for months.

Worth it. But for it to work, you have to want it and believe it will work - that's what hypnosis relies on.

No, this is incorrect. First of all you need to distinguish between suggestion and hypnosis. Suggestion is language that is designed to persuade your subconscious mind. Hypnosis is a state of mind that amplifies the effect of suggestion. Your ability to be hypnotized does not depend on your belief in it, and suggestion is more likely to work if you have an indifferent attitude as to whether it will work or not.

I tried it last night like this:

      Went through procedure.
      Went to bathroom.
      Redid the procedure.
      Went to the bathroom again.

I think I'll stop with the memory recall water thing.

Also, do I need stay in the same spot during HILDing? Can I move after I'm done? What if I have an itch? What does he me be "fully aware" in step 14?

      So many questions!
