Your probably going to want a second opinion on this because I'm no Lucid master or anything.

I'm guessing your talking about the tutorials on the main page? Those tutorials teach you the basis of dreaming and are the road to become Lucid.

First, you want to build up your dream recall (remembering what you dreamt). To do this, all you need is a journal that you should keep next to your bed. Now, when you go to bed and as you're falling asleep, tell yourself that you will remember your dreams because in doing this, you mentally set the task of remembering our dreams. Now once you wake up, take a second to try and remember what you had dreamed and write it in your journal.

Keep your journal organized and make sure you review your dreams and see what dream signs were in your dreams (like a big, flying, pink elephant). Try underlining your dream signs.

Just keep doing this until you can remember about, at the least I'd say 3 dreams per night. Then move onto more advanced induction techniques like WILD's, MILD's, etc.

Oh, and make sure you do Reality Checks during your waking hours, these will help you to distinguish whether what you are experiencing is a dream or not. I won't go to indepth on this but look around the forums for good reality checks to do.

Hope that helps. If anyone wants to correct something I may have said incorrectly, please do so ;D

You mentioned waking up in the middle of the night. I assume this means WBTB. Just get up and do a bunch of reality checks and read and watch videos about lucid dreaming to get it on your mind.

If you're really careful you can realize immediately that you've just woken up from a dream. Don't move, don't even open your eyes. Sometimes you do that when you wake up unconsciously, but if you manage to do that you will reenter the dream lucidly. That's a DEILD. Read the tutorial for more on that.

Make sure that you write in your dream journal every day, even if you don't remember a dream.

When you do autosuggestion, do it in your native language and read things about lucid dreaming in WBTB in your native language. You can also post you dream journal in another language.

Also remember to have patience. It could take a while. Or you may get it real quick. everyone is different. But, persistence and patience are very important.

Once your getting decent recall, what you want to do, is try and keep your mind alert to the fact that you could be dreaming at any time. And keep a constant look out for anything strange or out of place. And do a lot of reality checks. My favorite one is to pinch my nose and see if I can breath through it. When I do that in a dream it works every time. some people have trouble with it though.

Maybe you will be skilled at WILDing. try that out too.

I would also suggest reading the book, "Exploring The World Of Lucid Dreaming." pretty much all the information you need to get going is in that book.

Welcome to Dream Views! And good luck!
