      Angry Distractions

Okay, well ever since I registered here I have been visiting often and reading up on stuff, and attempting LD's using both DILD and WILD. However, I have a problem with WILD's... Whenever I'm laying there, attempting to concetrate on either breathing or the colors I see, I think about itching... And the only reason I think about it is because I have gotten to the point where I know I cant... And when I think about it, it causes me to itch! So I have to break concentration by itching, a lot! So I try harder not to think about it causing me only to think more about it -_-

      Is this pretty much hopeless!?

Just don't be worried about things like itches. Don't focus on an itch if you have it, that is more counterproductive than just scratching it and getting it over with.
I've only had a handful of successful WILD attempts, but the most important thing I found was to be relaxed. I slow my breathing, and passively pay attention to any visuals that might come by. Don't focus on the intensely, just be aware of them.
Hope that is helpful, and good luck. Also I'm just curious, have you had any lucid dreams in the past, and how did you achieve lucidity?

I have never had a lucid dream. Last night, I tried again for a WILD. I got to a new stage where I could defiantly feel some weird things happening. My body got fairly dizzy for sure, kind of felt like I was rolling over at times even tho I wasn't, and it also kinda felt tingly. Each time I focused and slowed my breathing, it would get more intense, but that is as far as I got.

You're definitely on the right track, the tingling feeling, and a rolling or falling sensation are all often accompanied by sleep paralysis, so you're like a step away. Just try to hold on to the deepest state you can and it will come. Just be aware of the scary things that can happen when sleep paralysis comes over you. Even if you've experienced it before it can be hard to get through.
