One technique which works particularly well for me is rather than concentrating on SP is visualise and sense yourself moving, try to imagine you moving in your bed or shifting. Often like the sensations of you falling back wards, sliding down. I work with these sensations when I WILD and have a lot of success with it

For me it has always worked rolling off the bed and onto the floor (in my mind of course) and then when i stand up, I'm in a LD. (always worked meaning the two times i've had a successful WILD)

so did you see HI, shapes and stuff, THEN go into total blackness??? If so just try opening your eyes. If you happen to just wake up, try doing a reality check and you might be in your LD.

I find that there are two stages you have to go through to enter a LD from SP.

First, you need to make sure your body is fully asleep. This is where imaginig yourself moving works well. Force yourself to bounce up and down on the bed while remaining paralyzed, or force your body to slide around on the mattress. This should heighten the sense of SP and get you fully asleep/paralyzed. You need to move without moving your body.

Second, you need to separate from your body, or enter the dream without fighting the paralysis. If you are paralyzed and not hallucinating, you can try rolling your dream body out of your paralyzed sleeping body, or visualize yourself standing up and running around. If you are already having a hallucination, use the scene given to you to enter the dream. Without breaking the hallucination, try to make it more vivid or tactile, and you should snap into the dream.

Here's what I did last night:
I am meditating after WBTB, and I start to feel SP. To keep from losing it, I imagine the sensation of rising and falling, bouncing up and down on my mattress while still paralyzed. As I'm doing this, I notice a figure standing in the doorway to my bedroom. It looks like the silouette of a huge oversized troll. It's so gigantic, It starts to disorient me as to how close or far away it is. I know it can not possibly fit in my living room. It sort of looks like my Father if he was all huge and bubbly and hunched like a troll. It reaches a huge troll hand into the room in a threatening way. I decide to use it's hand as a way to enter the dream. I reach up and take it's hand before it can strangle me, imagining that it is reaching in to pull me out of my body. It is very soft, like a lady's hand. As soon as I touch it, I find myself standing in a ballroom in a tuxedo, with a fancily dressed woman holding my hand as if we are about to dance.

Holy crap man, that's creepy and awesome at the same time. Like maybe the true form of the lady is a huge troll. :scared:
In dreams of unspeakable joy—of restored friendships; of revived embraces; of love which said it had never died; of faces that had vanished long ago, yet said with smiling lips that they knew nothing of the grave; of pardons implored, and granted with such bursting floods of love, that I was almost glad I had sinned—thus I passed through this wondrous twilight. —George MacDonald
