primitive brain only while lucid...

I've been having this problem where I will realize I am dreaming and everything and go lucid but ultimately end up stuck with what seems like a basically lobotomized brain that does not experience the full range of human emotion such as "love." and has extremely primitive desires. Basically just straight sex or violence. Seeing as I started trying as a form of therapy this is incredibly frustrated as no real release is found via this avenue. any help?

It sounds like you are becoming lucid, but still remaining in the lower wave lengths of brain activity. Getting more sleep so that you don't sleep too deeply might help.
