A small tip on how to go lucid...

Chances are that whatever goes on in your dreams, it'll be somewhat related to everyday habits. Now, if you're having problems going lucid and taking control of your dreams, this little tip might help. If you have a wristwatch or a cellphone or something else that can be set to beep once an hour, do this. Whenever it beeps, stop everything you doing to a brief second, take a mental break and ask yourself what you're doing, where you are, and if you are dreaming. Look around for signs that you might be dreaming, I mean, really think about it. If you're not dreaming you'll figure that out pretty fast, and if you realize it's a dream, all you need to do is to take control... Now this technique might take a while to master, because of the beeping thing will have to become a habit in real life first, your brain has to get used to the fact that once an hour you stop what you're doing to find out if you're dreaming or not. Once this habit has become imprinted into your mind, your alarm will start beeping in your dreams too, allowing you to find out it's a dream...

I do something cimilar. I do a RC every time I go on the computer, evry time I go to the bathroom, and everytime I go to my room. So basically I do RC all the time. I jsut started doing this this week and it finally worked this morning. I have a feeling itll start happening a lot more now too.

Yeah, I do an RC every time I change location. It was really hard to do the first couple of days, but now it's finally become natural.

I do an RC everytime somebody rides by on a unicycle. I also do one everytime random women come up to me and ask if I wanna make out.

O.o.......I normally don't do RCs...I need to get into the habit. I'm going to do what Gameover is doing.............Loose...The point of RCs are that the habit of doing RCs carry over into your dreams. And for it to do that you have to do Rcs alot....normally I become lucid for no reason.....xD

Yep - I need to learn the location change one.... might help me.
But more importantly Im trying to increase my awareness in general.

Remember that this dreamsign thing is only a shadow of the bigger and better technique - be aware of ourselves 24/7. Thats not nearly as easy either

I'm getting a lot better at it, but its pretty hard.
My subconscious is trying to get sneaky - my dreams lately are movie dreams, and when watching movies or the computer, I don't focus on my thoughts nearly as much.

Meh. I don't like doing reality checks. I like staying in my own little world where people ride unicycles, women randomly come up to me and ask me to make out, and I get to wear shirts with REALLY long sleeves.

placebo i know what you mean. Just being aware of your surrounding all the time or close to it is pretty hard. I find it mentally exhausting so im sticking with reality checks.
