you say doing this helps your dream recall? |

I've tested the technique several times on myself, with interesting results. It goes as follows: when going to sleep lie on your left side, then touch the spot between your eyebrows with your thumb of your right hand while at the same time touching the spot located slightly above your brow with the index and middle fingers. Other fingers are free to touch the brow. Don't press too hard. The spot above the brow is where the physical tension that follows from mental tension accumulates - for example, when you focus on something too hard or are trying to push some thoughts out of your mind, the physical strain gathers in this spot. Once you've assumed the position keep it for as long as comfortable. |

Well, you definately can't do this technique comfortably if you have any type of thumbnail or long fingernails. |

Well, actually I've stumbled upon it while experimenting on my own. The premise is, unfortunately, not as rational as I'd like it to be, as it springs from the theories of the subtle anatomy: in yoga, the thumb is associated with the fire element and pressing it against the forehead is employed in one of the purificatory practices that form the basis of Hatha Yoga. Once I've tried to use it while lying on my left side the rest of the posture came to me naturally, and each and every time I've used it I could wake up with the memory of my dream. It also helped me to reduce mental tension. |

Do you put a finger above each brow or above your thumb? |
|
No, I just touch the spot between the eyebrows with the thumb, and then place the other fingers on the - SCALP. |
