A technique for increasing dream recall and vividness; feedback appreciated

I've tested the technique several times on myself, with interesting results. It goes as follows: when going to sleep lie on your left side, then touch the spot between your eyebrows with your thumb of your right hand while at the same time touching the spot located slightly above your brow with the index and middle fingers. Other fingers are free to touch the brow. Don't press too hard. The spot above the brow is where the physical tension that follows from mental tension accumulates - for example, when you focus on something too hard or are trying to push some thoughts out of your mind, the physical strain gathers in this spot. Once you've assumed the position keep it for as long as comfortable.

Proceed with caution and please let me know if it worked for you.

EDIT: I've fumbled and written 'pinky' instead of 'middle finger'. My apology. I've corrected the post.

Well, you definately can't do this technique comfortably if you have any type of thumbnail or long fingernails.

Did you read this somewhere? Is there possibly a sketch or photo of what you're describing?

Well, actually I've stumbled upon it while experimenting on my own. The premise is, unfortunately, not as rational as I'd like it to be, as it springs from the theories of the subtle anatomy: in yoga, the thumb is associated with the fire element and pressing it against the forehead is employed in one of the purificatory practices that form the basis of Hatha Yoga. Once I've tried to use it while lying on my left side the rest of the posture came to me naturally, and each and every time I've used it I could wake up with the memory of my dream. It also helped me to reduce mental tension.

There's no picture of it so far, but I'll post one as soon as I manage to produce it.

Do you put a finger above each brow or above your thumb?

No, I just touch the spot between the eyebrows with the thumb, and then place the other fingers on the - SCALP.

That was the word I was lacking. Pardon me, I'm not a native english speaker and I understood the 'brow' as the area that stretches between the face and the scalp. So if you want to try it then just lie on the left side, touch the skin between your eyebrows with the thumb and let the other fingers rest on the scalp. This is how I do it.
