So this is basically WILD, but with sounds to help focus you? Good idea. I'll try it tonight. |

I created this technique by accident. |

This reminds of my trip to barcelona last year. I was in my hotelroom with a few friends. While they went somewhere I fell asleep, but while that happened I was listening to music. When my pals returned they were alarmed because they couldn't wake me up! They tried hitting me with a pillow (and later also a shoe) but I just kept sleeping. I finally woke up when they turned of my music. |

Current projects:
-Acquire the Aurora
-Test galatamine, huperzine and choline
-Find smartwatch app for RC reminders at certain intervals
-Ressurect my dream log here, and become more active
I'll definately give that methoud a try, but how long should you continue mouthing the words for? Just until you feel completely relaxed? |
|
Consciousness: that annoying time between naps.
Sig's are for losers
Slightly mouthing the words to a song is a new twist. I'll have to give this a try! |
|
I'll have to try this, I fall asleep with music on alot but I don't try to WILD very often. I'm sure this will work good because music always helps me relax and fall asleep, the heavier the music the better alot of times. |
|
i dont know if this has been asked a lot yet but about how long does this usually take? should the music be turned down to a pretty quiet level? or what |

super perfundo, on the early eve of your day!
I always have my music up loud enough to drown out my fan and other noises and I have no problem falling asleep to music or talkshows. I'd say experiment around and see what works for you. I've never gotten a lucid dream through this method so I don't know how long it would take. With music alot of times you'll be almost asleep and then realize it so maybe that would help. |
|
This sounds like a good method. I have one question though, how long are you supposed to mouth the words before you stop and see if you are in sp? |

I'll try it tonight. This sounds like the most appealing method so far. |

Sorry, I can't test this out as of late to see if there are things I may add, because I got sick.. 0:< yep, so as soon as I get better, I'll try and see if there are more ways to make this quick or something.. |

i would try this, but my ears get extremely sensitive to stereo music if i concentrate on it. so i would have to find a mono headphone instead of a stereo one. I have no doubt in my mind that this would for me either, jus the dam stereo. |

Actually, I find that when a song incorporates stereo really well (like a sound moving back and forth from left to right) it helps induce feelings of motion that usually happen before SP. Just my experience. |
|
Yeah, that's kinda how I found this technique. |

I fall asleep well to music, but I never really thought to much about trying it with WILD since I only really listen when I first go to bed at night. |

When the power of love overcomes the love of power the world will know peace.

Whenever I've fallen asleep while there's noises of any kind (including music) in my environment I'm in kind of a weird state between full-on dreaming and awake awareness of my surroundings, so I dunno if this slight awareness would help me LD or prevent me from going enough into a dream state to be able to have a good LD |
|
uhhh, my ears are super sensitive when it comes to stereo, only when it's the only thing on my mind, i go crazy like theres a super sensitive itch inside my body that starts from my ear (or something like that). its abnormal, so i don't expect any of you guys to know what i'm saying. |

Today I'm going to try to sleep with nonstop music (earpieces). I'm gonna try to enter trance/coma whatever state again. It's fun |

This is a very good technique, only difference is I use a tv when i do it. I usually have aqua teen hunger force on (which is already weird), when i enter the dream im usually in bed with the tv on but the characters (still 2D) are floating a little bit in front of the tv screen, so i know im dreaming. |

I just wanted to say I have been trying to achieve a lucid dream for a very long time, I actually have not been able to remember a dream except for maybe a fews days in about 1-1 1/2 years. All the attempts at LD's have failed for me, and I pretty much gave up on LD's(I was dissapointed) until I got an idea to use music, and google'd it. That is when I found this forum, and tried what was spoke of, and it worked, I slept only about 5 hours(very unusual for me) and I feal very very rested and energized, I had 1 partial lucid dream, and one dream I could not control. The only thing is I believe I woke up when my ipod's battery ran out, or when my mind realized it did. But I just wanted to share that and thank you guys for the ideas, I hope I can continue these LD's and sleeping patterns. Enjoy LD'ing. |

SadieM, what's the song you're using? I can't think of any calming songs, since my CD's are full of heavy metal. |
