      Tricks

Now my dreamworld is playing tricks on me. A bit of background, I am a natural lucid and vivid dreamer with good recall. Recently found this site from a link on an unrelated site. I checked it out just to see what it was about, not even knowing that my dreams had names.

So now my dreams have morphed considerably since putting this sites information in my head. For instance, now in normal dreams my head will tell me during the dream to remember to take note of how gorgeous the clouds look to remember when I wake up (and I DO remember it really well too!) or I will have dreams where I write in my dream journal, but wake up and it is empty ( I have read this is very normal).

Or where I will understand I am dreaming then fly or make a different scene, but understand it really isn't me doing this so much as controlling, or even passive control, it is a normal dream acting like a lucid, mocking me! I have continued having lucids, but funny stuff is happening now that my mind knows I am taking note and trying to be more aware. Before I just went to sleep everynight hoping to fall asleep fast and not be so darn tired in the am. Sleep was just sleep. Dreams were something that happened, but didn't play a big role in my life even though I have always had a very active dream life.

So I don't know about this, but I do enjoy writing my dreams every morning, even if I do have to get up earlier.

Wow vivedream! I don't know what to make of this other than that saying, "a little knowledge is a dangerous thing" seems to really apply in your situation.

Hopefully in time things will get back to "normal" for you.

Similar things happened to me when I first started reading more about lucid dreams. Up until that point I had assumed everyone knew when they were dreaming. It took about a month and a half before my brain stopped trying to complicate things and went back to normal.

      Good luck.

Thanks guys. It is getting annoying. Seeker28, I hope I don't have a whole month and a half of this! But am glad to hear things will get back to normal.
