      Extremely annoying problem with autosuggestion

Everytime I go to sleep telling myself "I will remember my dreams blah blah blah...", there's always a song stuck in my head! And everytime I try to unstick it by thinking about another song, the other song gets stuck instead!

Any ideas on coping with this?

Practice not thinking about anything. If you can't do that, then anytime a song gets stuck in your head, just let it go, and force yourself to re-concentrate on Lucid Dreaming and telling yourself you'll remember them.

With me, I only had to tell myself a couple times, and then afterwards, I was remember 2 - 3 Dreams per night, and my Lucid Dreams increased quite a bit, just from Auto Suggestion alone.

this is always annoying, do you listen to music right before you go to bed?
when you WILD you focus on your breath to get rid of your thoughts maybe you can try to do that before your dream rehersal.

The problem is that I can manage to focus on my breathing for about 5-10 seconds, but then my mind wanders and goes back to the song. Would it work if I'm autosuggesting and thinking about the song at the same time, even with the phrase being repeated slightly "stronger" than the song in my head?

Try using the LEAST catchy song you know, I usually use a song called My Redeemer Lives" from when I was in fourth grade

Everything makes sense once you stop thinking about it

As a pretty rhythmic person, that happens to me.

Instead of the song lyrics, I just fit in my autosuggestion phrase (Tonight I will vividly remember my dreams) to the rhythm.

Mind you, the songs I remember are all rhythm with no lyrics, so that much change things...

5-10 seconds of breathing is definately not enough. If you lose concentration of counting your breaths, just keep getting back to it. About 100 counts should do for autosuggestion.

Great... now I just got that one on my head
Currently practicing WILD. I quote Kaniaz who said it best: "The point of WILD is to piss me off". Though, I have not given up, far from it.

listen to classical music. This always helps me when I have a song stuck in my head. (or something w/o lyrics.)
