WBTB: Ok, so I'm heading to bed...

... then what? I know that you say to then attempt a MILD or WILD, but what are the specifics? Just as a favour (it's my birthday ) could you write a short list for say, a WILD or MILD after staying awake for say... an hour?

The only technique I've had success with is HILD, and that's after quite a few attempts. If someone could just write a quick and easy, yet specific guideline to WBTB'ing, It would be much appreciated. A WBTB for Dummies if you will.

Thanks again. Perhaps I'll let ya have some cake?

      WBTB Method

      Hi Nemesis,

      I would be glad to.

      Here goes.

      Sleep for 5-6 hours
wake up and GET OUT OF BED

Go online and read message boards about lucid dreaming or read about lucid dreaming somewhere

Keep doing this for 30 - 60 minutes. 60 minutes is better but sometimes its harder to fall asleep.

Then go back to bed and use either a MILD, WILD or any technique that you are comfortable with. Sometimes if you don't do them you stilll have a lucid dream.

      Then its LUCID DREAMSSSSSSSS.

Check my links and my the chart from the lucidity institute.

I tried WBTB twice. It took me forever to get back to sleep. This morning I did it. I was doing WILD for like 2 hours. I was like screw this. I probably masturbated 5 times, so i can fall asleep.

But I didn't have a lucid dream those nights, but they were vivid.

      Try MILD

"I will lucid dream tonight and remember it upon waking"

      Repeat many times.

When i do WBTB I dont even do mild or wild. I just try to fall asleep.

Yeah, Lucid83... I wish it were that easy for me.

I've tried WBTBing a few times with no success. The whole staying up for 60 - 90 minutes is easy... it's the bit after I had problems with. I'd go to bed after being up for a while, and lie there thinking 'Now what?'.

For MILDing do you need a dream sign? Or is it really just as easy as telling yourself to realise you're dreaming?

      Thanks

Id say 60-90 minutes is better than 30-60. My sucsess rate is highest at 90 minutes.

      Happy birthday.

Looks like WBTB has already been described by everyone here. So I wish you luck.
