I can assure that WILDs are real. I used to have them by accident when I used to stay up for a long time, and then pass out (if you would call those WILDs). Of course, I didn't even know what a LD was then, so I just woke myself up. I have no reason to lie, and I don't care if you believe me.

I thought you did but thought I should post for those newbies who may not know that you were joking.

      Oh boi...
No matter what people say, you'll just say WILD is a fake, and call them liars, ...
You stated your opinion about WILDs now here, so, I hope I won't see you saying the same thing in each and every thread about WILDs...
What's so hard about saying "I can't do it" instead of "It's fake", really?
      I've had WILDs too...

You know, I was realy giving your original post some credit and I maintain that I will incorporate it, but WILD is in no way fake. It is simply very difficult. Your refusal to believe in something simply because you can't accomplish it easily and the fact that you, as a new member, were so quick to completely disrespect seasoned members bothers me. You might want to re-evaluate what you think this site is about.

I think it's a fair reaction, just our friend ruff, as he says, doesn't mind treading on peoples toes.

WILD originally came from wake-ups during the night (and going back to sleep again), and you're much more likely to do it with some form of Wake Back To Bed. I agree you shouldn't try to get your first WILD by trying to do "body asleep, mind awake" when you go to bed at your normal time. You should do the setting-an-alarm-for-2-hours-earlier-than-normal-and-then-WILD thing.

On the other hand, that's exactly what the Dreamviews tutorials say, right? It's very attractive to think you can get lucid dreams on demand simply by falling asleep in a special way, and discover some of these strange phases of WILD, but it's far too hard.

So, ruff, you don't care what we think of you, and you can't be bothered to read our wonderful tutorials properly... what can I say ? Seriously though, good luck with the WILD. I've only done WILD a couple of times, but I have think it was worth the effort, just to know that I could do it. If I wrote one of those lists of "things to do before you die" with impractical things like hang-gliding or reading War and Peace, WILD would be somewhere near the top!

LOL. WILDing is easy... ruff just has no clue the proper way to WILD. Ruff certainly doesnt know WHEN to WILD. You dont WILD while going to sleep for the first time of the night... why? because it will take forever, be extremely difficult and probably wont work. You WILD after a WBTB or just WILD after waking up from a dream in the morning (BEST time)... its that simple. After you wake up from a dream in the morning, immediately just begin to pay attention to the Hpynagogic Imagery you can see and after about 30 SECONDS (no longer than a minute) it congeals into a dream and you're inside it. Voila, WILD!

Everyone has their own opinion and just because someone else already expressed a similar opinion, doesn't make the wish to voice theirs any less potent.

Thanks for saying what I've been thinking the whole time I was reading this thread. Ruff does give off an air of superiority.

Newsflash Ruff, your no better than any of us.

You come on here and tell us all these "techs" you use as if your gods gift to the world. Clearly you hadn't looked around the forum for even 5 minutes before hand, or else you would have found that these techniques are very well known and widely used by everyone on this forum. You just displayed your own ignorance. Now this would be all fairly harmless and perhaps funny if you hadn't then gone and called half the members here liars. I'm surprised you didn't get flamed into oblivion. You seem really up yourself.

I've WILDed myself, it was DEILD actually, a variation of the WILD technique. My experience was an accident and I haven't managed to WILD since, but its through that experience that I know they are very real and its motivated me to try and master the technique. I pity you for completely dismissing it, as my experience was the most vivid and realistic dream I've EVER experienced. The experiences I've read from other people say the same thing. So I hope one day you change your mind so you can experience such a great thing. And if not at least stop calling everyone else liars. You may not care about treading on other peoples toes, but those other people do care, and it'll come back and bite you in the ass one day.

ruff you tryed WILDing the wrong way. Its no wonder you had no success with it. Its the easiest to do after waking up from a dream in the morning, if you still have some REM sleep left you can WILD back into another dream in under a minute by just closing your eyes and paying attention to the images you see until they grow clearer and clearer, pay attention to all the details and finally it will congeal into a dream which you're inside. It works and its a brilliant techinique to use after prematurely waking up from a lucid, just chain it by WILDing right back in. Concentrate on the very last thing you were doing in the lucid and you can WILD back in in under 10 seconds.

Well said. You're very articulate. Don't try to goad me though, it won't work.
      Have a nice day

And I do hope you have a WILD one day, for your own benefit. Follow the advice of mez and others who have tried to clarify your understanding of the technique. Maybe you'll surprise yourself with a great lucid dream.

To be honest, you seem like the new troll.

I'm guessing that because you can't successfully WILD, you decide it's impossible and therefore fake. Which is a completely stupid thing because there are loads of people that can do it. Have you even read the dream journals on here? They are full of lucids that were caused from WILDs.

This is slightly off-topic, and I'm not an admin, a lucid dreaming expert or someone who comes here every day and knows how things are done around here, but I think this thread is better off closed... I doubt it's going to go anywhere good. I predict a flame war.
