Same thing happens to me, but with less feelings. I get tingly feelings/rush feelings. Awareness goes up. but then it fades. I know it's not full sp because i can move in it. Although i just move my fingers, i never really try to move more then that. Tips anyone?

The other methods haven't produced any better results.
I'm trying to induce SP to attempt WILD after, because I can easily begin the process of SP, but am not able to follow through completely. That's where I need help.

I'm trying my hardest not to focus on the sensations, but the suffocation one seems to get me every time.

Do keep in mind that you don't have to achieve SP before sucessfully doing a WILD. I've had many spontaneous WILDs by now, all of them without SP. But SP does make doing a WILD easier.

Really? what methods are you using that do this? I heard that VILDs let you bypass SP but the couple times I tried that I still had the normal SP.

Not that I mind, because I find SP extremely fun but I know one of these days I'm going to encounter "the old hag" and might not be so enthusiastic anymore

Also, how can you tell if its a WILD without SP? Isn't it possible you just fell asleep and had a DILD?

I don't use any techniques, it happens on its own. I can tell, because I can move my eyelids and break the WILD just the second before it happens by opening my eyes. What can I say, I'm a bit of a chicken sometimes. I know it's not a DILD because I enter the dream consciously. I can tell the moment I'm entering the dream, because my ears ring for a couple of seconds, then it goes quiet once I'm in the dream.

Hmm.. even the few accidental WILDs I've had I still went through SP - it was just an accident getting to SP.

I don't really mind though, sometimes SP is more fun than the actual lucid itself

I have a similar problem too, I lied still for 50 mins but couldn't enter sp...

In sp, is it impossible to move? When I gave up my body was stiff and it felt as if I just woke up...
