      Writing technique?

I sorta experimented with something last night.

As I was going to bed i thought, wouldn't it be more effective to write what I think instead of just thinking it before bed?

So i got a piece of paper, and wrote down 150 times:

      "It's just a dream"

and as i fell asleep i pictured the words i wrote down

but, i did not lucid (haven't yet)

can you guys confirm if this method would work?

should i keep persisting with 1 method? or multiple methods?

I'm guessing sticking with 1 method is good maybe the brain will finally train itself to say

"it's just a dream" while dreaming, therefor making me lucid

      what do you think?
I would rather die on my feet then to live on my knees.

Sounds more or less to me like a waste of time to write it down, and that is only because you are picturing it afterwards. One good thing that can come from writing it down I guess, is it will help solidify it in your mind. But if you can do that without writing it down, then it will save you time and effort.

Just last night I had 2 Lucids (first was a DILD/Auto-Suggestion combo, 2nd WBTB method). Before I fell asleep, I told myself around 5 times that I would recognize I was dreaming, and then did.

Its basically the same thing your doing, except I skipped the whole writing process. If it helps keep it as a big focus in your mind, then by all means continue, but me personally, I wouldn't recomend it if you can do it otherways.

I have actually done something like this, except I did it coupled with WBTB. Used to be my primary source of gaining lucidity, unfortunately, the effect wears off after doing it so many times. I haven't tried lately, but the last couple times I did, it didn't work.

If I were you, I would wake up after a few hours of sleep and do it. You may not need to write it so much either. I only wrote it about 46 times. I did it on my computer too, which might have helped.
