      Im back, but need help dreaming during school.

      I was away from Dream Views for so long i got sent an e-mail . I haven't been on lately because i do not get good dreams because of school in the morning. I've been losing the ability to recall dreams and attain lucidity. It's weird because the vague dreams i have are dreams of being lucid :/ . It's weird because i exert control (magic,flying, etc) but I'm not really lucid. It's hard to explain.

      Anyways I'm going to start getting back on track, but i never seem to dream during school. I'm open to help/ideas if anyone knows what i should do. Also i have only done the DILD technique, but i have been doing it for awhile and I'm a relatively experienced lucid dreamer.

      To remember my dreams on school days, I usually just lie in bed for a few minutes just after waking up. I think about the dreams I had, and this commits them to my long term memory. Sometimes I'll forget them during the day, but later I can recall them with a little concentration.

      Glad you came back! I was gone for a while too, I only got back nearing the end of last year.

      Hmm, if I am not misunderstanding, you desire to sleep during school? Like while it is in progress, no? I can admit that it probably isn't too healthy to sleep during class, you miss a lot of information that you need to ace the time consuming retarded tests. However I do approve of it because most of the information being taught in school is just filler, a waste, so ya lol. Back on track now, it is possible you are in deep sleep during that time, possibly from not sleeping that night before? This causes you not to dream.

      in school itself sometimes a word triggers a dream i forgot so i write it down there and copy it over to my DJ when i get home.

      I've tried sleeping through free periods at school and recording dreams- Though I'm quite sure the OP is concerned with dreams during school nights rather than in school hours.

      I'm in a similar position i suppose. May I ask if you are rushed at all when you wake up in the mornings- to get ready for school etc.? Try setting your alarm clock an hour or so before your normal waking time- after a few days to a week- you should naturally wake up at this new time as your body clock grows used to it.

      This will give you time to reflect on your dreams when you awaken- rather than having other things on your mind, ie. getting ready for school, shower, breakfast etc.

      This seems to work for me- maybe it also has something to do with other people in my household still asleep in bed, rather than making noise around the house though.

      Their spirits still pray though. That’s how the temples are still floating.”

      The problem is a combination of inadequate sleep and my morning "routine". I wake up tired and immediately begin the day(breakfast,shower,etc.) I'm not even fully awake until i get to school.

      Waking up an hour early is a great idea, but that also means get to sleep an hour earlier. I'm used to going to sleep around 10:00-11:00PM and waking up at 6:30AM. Going to sleep early is actually hard for me, I just naturally lean towards the night owl side.

      Also, i never sleep during school except during history films. They put me right out

      Chill out a little. Dreams are not something what you can loose. And thats it. Thats certain. Now revise what would you like to dream about, think about it a little and dont press yourself. Just be happy and dont be sad. You dont have time for dreams? No problem. Make compromise. Take one day in a week. {better one day fully dedicated, then seven partially}

      Enjoy.

      during the school year I usually just try to go to bed earlier and wake up 5-10 minutes earlier so I can write down my dream. As long as you get a regular amount of sleep and leave time for your DJ it shouldn't matter what time you have to get up

      I know going to bed early can be difficult. For me it's almost impossible, but when I feel determined enough, I can do it. And I've only ever had an LD when I have gone to bed earlier than usual (which is like you around 11:00)
