After waking up in the night I lie in bed awake with my eyes shut and realize that I am staring at an clear bright image. Sometimes it is a moving scene, sometimes it is a still image. It's as if I am viewing a flat screen TV or cinema screen. |

Well when you see that image you should just lie still and just focus on it. You may feel a transition to it or you may not. But as soon as the image becomes as real as real life then your most likely in a dream. |

some of my LDs start that way. I always just imagine myself literally "stepping" into the dream. Even though you can no longer feel your legs, you just have to imagine that they are there and then just step. I'm sorry, its hard to explain |

I heard that you shouldn't focus on the image that much. Just let it be there in front of you but don't go in to detail and wait until it completely pules you in. |

I agree, try not to focus too much. In my experiences you will kind of fall (quickly) into the dream when you actually fall asleep. You need to just let this happen. Lately, when I start to feel that I'm close, I will do the "spinning" technique even though I'm not quite asleep and this has worked well for me. |

Yeah, i'm sorry my information was wrong. Last night I noticed I had HI and then didn't really focus on it and it stayed on the same HI for a while and I started to feel the effects of a WILD but when that happened I started thinking and it made the feelings go away. |
