When you wake up for your WBTB, how long do you stay awake before going back to WILD? This time period is something you can adjust, make it shorter if you're having problems going back to sleep (or getting into SP), and make it longer if you fall asleep too quickly. |

Anywhere between 5 to 80 minutes. |

I've been having trouble with WILD, too. In fact, I just tried it this morning. I even went out and bought ear plugs and a sleeping mask to see if that would help. I tossed around for about an hour-and-a-half before finally giving up and falling asleep. I've been trying the counting technique. I started to feel my body slow down and relax. This morning, my finger even started to twitch like my body was finally falling asleep. But something always happens to hinder my progress. Like, my mind will start to wander and I feel like when I pull it back and keep counting, that's just keeping me awake longer. |

I've only got a couple WILDs, but the times I succeeded, I've found that it doesn't really matter what you think about. All that matters is that you remain completely still and comfortable. Laying on my side is best for me, but pick your most comfortable position. Keep your mind occupied by thinking about anything; Imagining that you're climbing a rope is good. Try to feel it in your hands and feel yourself moving upwards and away from your real body. Just think of something so you don't let your mind fall asleep and don't move. Some people say it's okay to swallow. For me, it's not. Eventually your body will fall asleep and you'll be lucid. I was a little disoriented at first, but just remember where you really are and what you're doing. If you're anywhere else, you know it's a dream. |

In dreams of unspeakable joy—of restored friendships; of revived embraces; of love which said it had never died; of faces that had vanished long ago, yet said with smiling lips that they knew nothing of the grave; of pardons implored, and granted with such bursting floods of love, that I was almost glad I had sinned—thus I passed through this wondrous twilight. —George MacDonald
