      morfey's WILD attempt

So got really close last night.

Didn't WBTB but just started off lying there thinking whatever then decided I had to get really comfortable (for me I think this may be really important) moved around a lot until I got into a position that I imagined this is how I sleep and knew felt right (it was on me side kind of similar to the recovery position). Got pretty far felt tingly and a few other sensations just from listening to my breathing (for me I find it helps to not count or think about anything) I heard a few songs when I would drift off from breathing for a minute then I really started to think I was close so I thought I would try sit up.... and guess what I happened? I sat up and no I wasn't dreaming. I lay back down straight away in that same comfy position and then started slowing my breathing and taking heavier breaths which I would just let the air heave out as if I was in a deep a sleep, with in not even a minute of sitting up my head felt as big as a beach ball and my body really small. My heart was about to explode it was beating so fast.. Heard the Red Hot Chilli Peppers then started thinking about the sensations I was feeling and how to describe them. Could feel my consciousness drifting off and the familiar feeling of everything under my lids getting really big. With each breath I was getting closer but my heart was going so fast I couldn't escape. I guess I should have stayed listening to my breathing but I was amazed at how fast my heart was going and listened to that which eventually slowed and I returned to normal.

After that though I had an amazingly vivid and lengthy dream which is now my first online journal entry... http://www.dreamviews.com/community/...ad.php?t=54257

that sounded like you were pretty close!

I bet you would have gotten even farther if you did a WBTB

cheers! I seem to be able to get really close whether it is using WBTB or not. But I encounter the same problem of just not being able to transfer over.

So was actually wondering when you dreamers get close, kind of like you feel your heart racing and/or your visual perspective feels a bit different, do you try to will anything? Like try will yourself into a dream, try dose up the tingling feelings or increase the visuals? Or do you just try and lay there with a clear mind?

      thanks!

Well I dont get a heart racing feeling. I get more of a rollercoaster like feeling. That is, if this is the vibrations. When I get to the vibrations i imagine movment. Im not very good at imagining dream scenes cause Im not very good at visualisation. So i just imagine me starting the dream by having my eyes closed and rolling onto the floor. I then can open my eyes and go do whatever. Its simple and it works

      Cheers man for the help.

I guess I just need to practice when to try and roll over or wake up in my dream I kind of always expect it just to happen naturally kind of like the next step if I can keep my mind clear through what ever my WILDs are testing me on. In fact the first time I tried I had visions, the second time I was rocked and then last night my heart racing like crazy. Perhaps as soon as I get one of these signs I should try 'wake up' in a dream.
