So I tried to WILD last night...

I did a wbtb. I woke up at about 3:45am and I immediately attempted to WILD. I got to the point where my whole body felt numb and I was beginning to see some HI. I was using the "counting breaths 'technique'" and I could almost visualize each number. I got to like the 470's before I gave up b/c it was taking SO LONNNG, haha. I think I gotta be more patient because it feels like I was almost there.

After you start getting a lot of HI, how long does it usually take you before you get to SP?

Still no LD's yet and I've been here a month. I'm getting kinda frustrated but I know I just need to be more patient. I know it'll be worth the wait!

Please tell more information, if you really want to help him. What you can is not interesting for someone, who cannot do it

That's pretty much all I can help with, because my WILDs are spontaneous and not planned.

I apologise for my unhelpful reply. I was only trying to answer his question.

Counting is pretty interesting technique. Not only becouse it may eventually move into lucid dream, but also becouse it lets you explore near dream states. YOu may not be hundreed times successful with this technique, but you develop other abilities such as concentration, letting go. And many more. Each session will give you some information. Even if you dont see the results.

Dont lose motivation. I long didnt have a lucid dream, so i reformulated my wishes to achieve something else. And after my first came, i knew, what it feels like and moved on further with induction techniques.

If you remembered only one thing from what i wrote, remember this:

You have all time of your life ... So take it slow and the results are guaranteed.

Thanks guys & gals for the replies. This is a truly interesting subject and is becoming a hobby. I'd never give up on it, it's actually more of a feeling of anxiety than frustration lol.

And Luminous, your post was helpful. I read in a different thread that you have LD's regularly, and I'm interested in that. Anything you add to this thread would be insightful

Sorry. You didnt have to delete your reply. I didnt mean to be offensive. Would be fine if you could share your experiences, even if they are not planned.

      Maybe you could now

Well, my WILDs are like this... They can happen if I wake up in the beginning or at the start of a REM cycle. I know when I'm about to have a WILD, because I'll have a sense of alertness and sleepiness at the same time. All I gotta do is lie still and feel the vibrations etc. come to me, but it's not always easy to actually enter the dream. I used to be scared of the transaction from awake to dream, and I still think that's what makes it a bit hard. But what I do is that when I see HIs, I will focus on one of them, and use that to enter the dream into that scene. If I don't see any HIs (or it's not consistent), I'll visualise/imagine myself doing something, and that's where I start my dream.
