Simple: don't sit up. |

Ok, ive heard many different ways of entering the dream such as rolling your body over to the side, sitting up in your bed and sinking into to your bed to another world below, but my question is, how do you know when it is right to sit up, because even after i feel "the shift" and i sit up slowly i find that im awake... it really bugs me when i know that i was so close... any suggestions? |

Beware of hitchhiking fish
Ive heard of some people starting the dream by using the falling feeling to imagine that they are sky diving, and starting the dream that way. |

I just looked at my hand every 10 - 15 mins or so, and only that so I was still relaxed when I put my hand down. It's always funny, because when I lifted my hand up the final time, it had 7 fingers which were changing in length constantly. I wouldn't recommend sitting up unless if you know that you're dreaming. For me, personally, moving my hand up for a quick peek doesn't make me less tired. |

Don't think you should sit up. |

You could simply open your eyes and check things out, see if they have that dreamy look yet. It'll set you back if you're still awake, but not as much as sitting up. |
