A Problem When I Tried WILD'ing and WBTB

Alright I went to bed, slept for about 6 hours, then woke up without an alarm clock. I went to the bathroom then went back in bed. I began WILD'ing. I was counting my breaths which seems to work pretty well I guess.

Well I started getting numb and my arms got tingly,
Then all of a sudden I began getting these uncontrollable twitches all over my body. I don't know if it was the 'vibrations' you guys are talking about, because they were more like twitches, because they weren't as rapid as vibrations. I got one like once a second about. in my legs, my torso, and feet. And I felt that maybe it was preventing my body from entering into sleep.

What exactly was this? And if it's not good, how can I prevent it?

i believe the twitches your talking about is your body's way of seeing whether or not you are still awake, i get it as well sometimes but i think the key is to, even is your attention is drawn to them, try to ignore them. I know this is very hard to do because the more you think about NOT thinking about it, the worse u feel the need address the problem.

I find that personally when this occurs to me i concentrate on my breathing for a while, not too much though, just enough to forget about the twitching whilst still keeping your mind active.

again im no way an expert on anything but i have read alot and i hope this helps

I think they're called Hypnic Jerks, but don't quote me on that.
As Niddiboy has already said they are a way of your body seeing if you are asleep or not. If you ignore them, you can progress with the WILD.

I guess that's a reasonable explanation. But it was kinda crazy, not just a few twitches, they were like coming constantly, like I said like every second.

I will try my best to ignore them next time.

Obviously it's going to be different for every person.

I only get them like every 20 seconds or so.

I hate those... I had one so bad I was worried that my foot was having a mini-seizure.

Don't worry it's your body trying to see if you're sleeping.
