Yes, not only does the epsom salts dry on your body really fast, but it can be a bit painful if you have any cuts as it really burns for a while.
There's really little chance of drowning because the epsom salts keeps your face above the water.
I slept in mine for a couple of years with no problems.
From the literature I've read on it, the most dangerous condition you might face is if you allowed the water to get too hot, as it could put you into a coma, so you really have to make sure you have the water adjusted to the right temperature before using it.
Of course, it would be advisable for anyone who suffers from anything like epilepsy or similar conditions to not attempt floating.
