In a WBTB technique, people say to sleep for 5-6 hours... If the techniques say to stay up for 30 minutes to an hour, than shouldn't you wake up after four and a half hours??? Wouldn't time be taken out of your REM stage... |

No, as far as I know, you're just pausing in your sleep cycle by waking up. So when you get back to bed, you'll be in the same part of the cycle as you were when you woke up. Does that make sense? |

Yeah, thanks... |

its not sleep for six hours total, its sleep for five to six hours at first, then wake up for whatever amount of time you feel necessary. They recommend during this time you read about lucid dreaming or do many reality checks. Then go back to bed for however long you want. They say five to six hours because this is generally the time you are going to be moving from delta to rem sleep. And i dont think its possible to miss rem sleep when your awake. |
