I think I had my first LD..

I've been here for a while, but I haven't posted yet, just reading some stuff. Anyway, a few nights ago I was laying in my bed, and my body felt kinda heavy. I thought I was just imagining it, so I just kept laying there. Now, this next part kinda confused me... I don't know if I was dreaming or not, because I think I was still awake... but it was like I was dreaming... I was in a city, and it was being attacked by the combine (you know, from HL2 ) I went inside, and then I think thats where I was actually dreaming, and then I just kinda knew it was a dream. To see if I could control what I was doing, I went and grabbed a marker, opened it, and put it back. Then before I did anything else, I made sure I was dreaming with the nose RC, and I was. Right after that I woke up though.

Is it possible that I never actually dreamed this and it never really happened?

Sorry if this is the wrong board.

Welcome to DV! I've had a few HL2 dreams. Anyway that definitely was a good step in the right direction. I would suggest looking into MILDs and Autosuggestion, they're two really good ways to jump start your LDs.

This could belong in either this board or General Lucid Discussion, I don't think its that big of a deal though.

      Again welcome and good luck.

ZF104, lucid dreaming is merely the "awareness" that you are dreaming WHILE you're dreaming.

Did you ever say (or think) to yourself, "I'm dreaming?" and, if so, did you BELIEVE this statement/thought to be true? If so, then you were definately lucid.

Oh, and welcome to the forum!
