anyone else do not need a clock to wake up 5-6 hours later?

I'm curious about this phenomenon. since I've decided to actively pursue LDs and practicing WILDS, every night I seem to wake up around 4-5 hours after I initially went to bed without the use of an alarm clock. Of course, this is perfect for me, since my wife would stick a knife in my back if my alarm clock went off around 3-4 AM

I don't naturally wake up in the middle of the night but can easily do it with autosuggestion. Just saying to myself I'm going to wake up in 5 hours to do WBTB. But I don't have to pound it in to my head over and over like a MILD mantra until you fall asleep. I just think, I want to WBTB and I do, usually perfectly 5 hours after I fell asleep.

Yeah, it amazes me how well autosuggestion works.

I just have to say to myself once or twice that I'm going to wake up in five hours, and I will wake up in five hours.

yes, the same process of auto-suggestion works for me in waking up in a specified amount of time, but only from once I fall asleep. If I would say something like, I want to wake up at 5 AM, what would happen is that I'd wake up in 5 hours from the time I went to sleep, so if I fell asleep sleep at 2, and repeated the before stated suggestion, I'd awaken at 6 instead of 5.

Only duration counts, time is irrelevant.

Just the inner clock, I guess. I automatically wake up at 6 every weekday morning, but EXACTLY quarter to nine every weekend morning. Pretty random.

It's weird, I autosuggest that I wake up early, but when I don't really care, I just nonchalantly think that I'm going to wake up early, I do! But when I really concentrate, it doesn't!

yeah I would say the same. whenever I need to wake up ealier than usual, I just tend to wake up on my own without a clock.

I always just wakeup 5min before my alarm goes off, no matter what tie I set it for.
My subconscious must really hate that alarm.
