      -ild?

      WILD? SILD? How many of these are there, and where can I find them all?

      And can someone clear up the abbreviations? SD, LD (well, I understand that one). I'm new to the site so a couple of them confuse me.

      There are really only two general categories: DILD and WILD. All others are derivatives.

      DILD is Dream Initiated Lucid Dream. It includes all techniques that get you lucid after you are already dreaming. The most common of these methods is probably MILD; Mnemonic Induction Lucid Dream.

      WILD is Wake Initiated Lucid Dream. It includes all techniques where you maintain a thread of consciousness as you fall asleep and enter the dream.

      Take a walk through the Tutorials section for more detail on all the different -ILDs, pick a couple to try and have at it!

      Another is WBTB although that isn't really a technique per say, just an enhancer.

      Most -ild's on here are just one's people are making up and seeing if they work. There's a lot of ilds to try out in the induction techniques.
