      Just canceled wild - dumb?

So I woke up to early been laying in the couch. First I almost fell asleep then went into sp which I left, then I almost fell asleep and fell into sp but this time I relaxed and I saw images. But I have a twisted subconcious and dream alot of nigthmres, the images I saw were of blood and deth, you know the skull and two crossed bones that are on toxic stuff, and only frigthening stuff, then there was a book but I realized it was some kind of evil worshippers book and it just felt scary so I cancelled... dumb move? I'm gonna try again... The images were like popping up 5 per second and stuff...

Aside from that, I just had two sps which means I've been in SP three times, and for me it works in the morning a 2 or 3 hours before I normally go up. I went up watched a little tv, but felt really morning tired. The kind of tired that made me lie down like a drunk and falling asleep really slowly, then when sp hit I got back consciouness

EDIT: Wrong subforum, could a mod please move it? Thanks

Eh, I canceled my first WILD because of all the 'scary' stuff I hear about SP, but then I thought to myself that none of those things are real. So i tried it again and I never got Old Hag or anything, and still haven't each time I got into a WILD. Last time I didn't even get SP o.O.

      Think positive!

Well, I'm not scared of sp, or old hag or anything like that. I just didn't want to get into a lucid nightmare... I get hunt down by monsters in my dreams... Alot...

Oh well I found my wild sweetspot (timewise) So I'll try again tomorrow and go along with it no matter what images. Btw, does the dream have anything to do with the actual images we see?

In my lucid world, anything that tries to scare me gets wiped off from my dream realm. I find it very offensive when I become lucid and all of a sudden I see a shadow type fegure passing by. This would anger me and I would dispose of it by transforming into a much stronger dark shadow being, then I'd grab it by its shoulder and push them through the ground. Confidence is my special lucid power.

Just let yourself go into the scary dream, but remind yourself over and over again that it's only a dream, then change it to puppies and sunshine

I tried to think about the teletubbies, I will try again tomorrow morning. This time though it was really really easy to get into sp.

You could try viewing the experience the same way you would view a horror movie. Sometimes it can be fun to be scared. Especially if you can keep enough awareness to remember it is only a dream.

I have had some horrifying content in my dreams. My favorite way to overcome it is to just wait and let it pan out. Don't run. Don't even take the mental stance of running. I hardly ever stand and fight my nightmares either. I just sort of ignore them with the attitude, "So, what are you going to do with that chainsaw? Oh, you're going to hit me with it? Can we do that later? I'm real busy."

If you run from the fear, it will chase you. If you fight the fear, it will become a struggle. If you just accept it and move on, it will disappear.

Ha, I'll try that. The reason I woke up so early was because I forced myself up. I saw a guy running, then looked at him, I walked the other way, he walked the same, then he started running straight at me so I forced myself up, managed to get up but was still in sp and managed to force my way out of that aswell. What I hate the most is if say they came with a chainsaw, and started cutting, it really feels like im being cut with a chainsaw. But a chainsaw aint that bad, the worst is when they break yer spine or something like that.

I had one lucid nightmare last week. It was so scary I willed myself awake.

There are levels of control, anyone will tell you. Not all lucids are dreams where you have god-like powers. If I had had more control, I would have willed away the demon riding the stagecoach drawn by the nightmare horse with no hind legs. Or I would have teleported away. As it was, I knew it was just a dream, but I was still asleep enough that I had no control over the events.
In dreams of unspeakable joy—of restored friendships; of revived embraces; of love which said it had never died; of faces that had vanished long ago, yet said with smiling lips that they knew nothing of the grave; of pardons implored, and granted with such bursting floods of love, that I was almost glad I had sinned—thus I passed through this wondrous twilight. —George MacDonald

Dude, next time you have a lucid nightmare, just tell them "Screw you guys," and blast them with a lazer cannon. After that you'll probably never have that nightmare again.

I think it's fun to conjure up nightmares just to blast them into oblivion. It's great for relieving stress, too.
What if I told you that I am dreaming right now?
That your whole life is a lie?
That the laws of physics as you know them are incorrect?

Furthermore, what would you do if I told you I'm going to wake up as soon as you finish reading my signature?

Believe me I have tried. Last time I kept chopping a monster with a sword and was completley confident in that he would die but he took no harm.

Anyway tonight I got lucid in a nightmare and tried to just accept the monsters. It worked as far as not feeling any pain, a big black truck tried to run me into a wall and I didn't feel anything, the scenarios changed with the monsters but the monsters didn't go away...

Well, try jumping into toxic waste or somethin else that would normally cause death, and drag them in w/ you. When a nightmare dies, it dies. When you die, you wake up.

I actually just thought that up on the spot, but if you're in distress try it and see if it works. Though you wouldn't know if it worked till you fall asleep again....

I tried blasting the demon with fire, but my fireball wasn't working. The issue was, I didn't have enough control/clarity/logical function to think, "Hey, since this is a dream, I can just will him out of existence," or do anything other than continue to try to shoot him with my non-working fireball.
