      Anyone else got this problem?

Since I knew LD I was very excited. But alot of the time Ill wake up in the morning and Ill get really frightened of actually gaining Lucidity. One of my greatest fears is ill get lucid and get attacked by somthing and have a great amount of pain. Im still trying to over come it, but we will see.

      Anyone else?

(Yeah I know im a baby)

Why would you feel pain? You don't need to have a lucid dream to feel pain, a normal dream can do that.... Lucid dreaming is not like taking drugs where it has a physical impact on your body. It's purely.....mind stuff. Even if you do feel pain or that the lucid dream turns into a nightmare, you can wake yourself up as I did before. I had a lucid dream that I knew was going to be a nightmare and I simply wake up from it. That's the benefit of becoming lucid in the dream, you have CONTROL.... Lucid dreams are your friend not your enemy.

well i never really get afraid of lucid dreaming because it is awesome. i know there may be bad things that occur sometimes but look at it as your mind is telling you something... think of it as a hidden message. the thing i get afraid of is laying in perfect silence and whether in a dream or not regaining my vision and seeing a figure standing over me... worst is the exorcist girl... lol.

i tell myself it won't happen and if i do get into a lucid then i'll be so preoccupied with controlling it and having fun and exploring that i won't care.. and it has been true every time. actually i used to have horrible dreams when i was a kid like people killing my family and hunting me down all night long... i got shot once and could feel it. i started experimenting with my dreams and when i learned that i could actually control everything and believed it i never had a nightmare since... been about 5-6 years with no problems.

just relax and by gaining lucidity you can overcome fears and possibly gain enough confidence to confront your fear face to face and laugh at it. the only way is to keep trying.

Yeah, but the opposite is also true, you can use lucidity to overcome fear and nightmares. I think that it all comes down to confidence.

Yeah true that. I just find it weird that if I want to try doing it at night I have no fear what-so-ever, but If I try it in morning I get alot of it...

I felt that way but you need to remember that the dream isn't real. You can change it or even wake yourself up if it becomes scary. I have felt pain in dreams and it's weird because most people say they can't feel the pain but I think it's a mental thing. It's just like if you don't realize you're cut sometimes you won't feel it... IUs pain all in the mind??.....

perhaps you have fear of losing control of your dream, usch as imagining a frightening image and then it apopearing for real, dont worry, its your mind and you should be able to do anything with it
