I had a DILD but I lost my lucidity very fast

I was having a dream, just a plain dream, and i reality checked and I could breathe through my nose with it pinched. I became lucid, changed where I was, and then couldn't do anything else. This puzzled me can someone help me?

It's not uncommon when you are first starting out. You just have mental blocks right now. You said that you couldn't do anything, this means that you couldn't move? You were at some level afraid that if you moved you would move your real body and you didn't want to wake up

      sorry

Sorry, I wasn't very clear. I believe that having lucid dreams is 110% logical. But it seemed like after i changed the scenery it became a normal dream again. Could I have dreamed about dreaming?

Sounds like you may have got confused/distracted maybe after the scenery change and you started to lose some of your consciousness?
When i started lucid dreaming i was always scared i would slip in to a normal dream again through a FA or a distraction, so would start to say to myself over and over as i was doing something this is a dream, this is a dream! and a few RC's at times i was starting to have some doubt and disbelief that i was dreaming as it looked so real it couldn't possibly be one i thought. So maybe you dropped to a lower level of consciousness and got confused.

when you realize you're lucid, don't just jump right into it and start trying to fly or change scenery. Take time to ground yourself by rubbing your hands together or even talking to yourself, saying things like "I am dreaming. I am lucid." and really try to notice your surroundings. Once you do that everything will be more clear and you'll be able to have more control over the dream.

i completely agree. i find the best thing to do after gaining lucidity, is try to gain MORE lucidity. dont do ANYTHING. i dont really pay attention to my dream untill i feel completely concious about what's going on. try to think about something going on in your real life, and then think, well that doesnt affect me, because im dreaming. my first lucid dream i was only lucid for about 3 seconds because in those seconds, i transformed into a super-superhero and i flew away to fight evilllll..... hahahaha. i obviously forgot that i was dreaming and i was focused on killing the guy that was stealing shit and carrying a gun....

I'm new here but the advise given sounds very good, I'm going to focus more on grounding myself once I'm lucid.
I find that as soon as I'm lucid, I start flying around and doing ridiculus things. Before I know it, I'm back in a normal dream or I'm out of control and "can't do anything" as you said. Or its very hard to stop myself from flying past things or people I want to stop at, which gets aggravating.

Don't get me wrong, somtimes it works great. But only in short bursts. I think if you focus more on grounding yourself, (I like that term), and less on trying to change things. In the long run you will be more succesful with controling the dream.
Like I said, I'm new here, so take what I say with a grain of salt.

Yep, I know exactly what you mean. I go to try and do something and then I forget I am lucid and I end up doing some stupid dream thing like trying to get DCs lucid or something. I don't really know how to avoid it other than to focus grounding yourself like other people have said, and maybe to continue checking that you are dreaming often. Maybe continuing to remind yourself that you are dreaming.

      Congratulations!

You've taken a major first step. You should be happy that you've broken through to the other side, however brief your journey.
