      Any tips on DS?

      I think I have problems picking up dream signs. I see some signs that are really obvious, yet i don't seem to notice them until i wake up. I've had DILDs before, but they were cause by my rare occurrence of finally noticing a DS.

      Any tips on helping me notice DS more often and picking up awareness?

      Well, personally I have the same problem. I am completely ignorant in dreams when it comes to dream signs. I just cannot notice them. If im lucid already they stick out like crazy obviously.

      Anyways, I dont really have any solid ways of noticing them in the dream.. but auto suggestion could be helpful. Could try repeating something like;

      "I will recognize my dream signs while asleep."

      Its also possible those just aren't just arent vivid enough to remind you whats going on.. so in real life you could try to attribute more reality checks when experiencing a similar event. And also dont look blindly look at your hand.. really ask yourself if your dreaming. You should be able to back up your answer with info about why you arent dreaming instead of just saying "No".

      A good way to be more aware of DS is to become more aware while awake. Find ways to remind yourself to frequently (20+ times a day) ask youself if you are dreaming, if everying makes sense. For example: everytime you walk through a doorway, make eye contact with someone, eat or drink something, etc ask if you are dreaming and if everything makes sense. When you try to decide if you are dreaming and things make sense really think about it. You need to be able to provide reasons why you are or aren't dreaming. Is time skipping around? Do places logically connect? Is an army of zombie bunnies marching down the road? The idea is to simply get into the habit of evaluating your surroundings for any clues that may indicate you are dreaming. After this is a habit for a while I will garuntee it will follow you into your dreams.

      A problem with this method is that if you get really good at it you may occasionally not be sure, so having good RC methods is important. Plus, sometimes I feel a bit crazy when I do this.

      Yes, my main problem is i cant seem to recognize the dream sign in my dream. I am completely oblivious to everything that is happening as if its the normal world so its very difficult to become lucid
      Any other tips that may help me attain awareness? Thank you

      Check your dreamjournal for recurring dreamsigns and include them in your RC's?

      A dream journal is great for dream signs. I would have had any LDs without it. I finally recognized that cars are a dream sign in my dreams. Well, I saw a car in a dream, did an rc, and became lucid. Now I do an rc everytime I see a car.
