      medical inducing of ld's?

      hello
does anybody know of a legal medicine that is used in neurology or psychiatry that has as a side effect an increase in REM-phases? i know that stephen laberge is experimenting with an alzheimermedicine (in switzerland known under the name reminyl). it has a general activating effect. but what i am looking for is a medicine that specifically could kick off REM phases. i know that there are for example antidepressants which have a REM-inhibiting side effect. are there any medicaments with the opposite effect?

I havent heard of anything and even if there where i wouldent recomed it messing alot with you sleep pattern chemicaly is generaly not a heathy idea.

If you want to increase your REM periods stay asleep later the longer you sleep the longer they get :-)

      hi

      hi turkeh
yes, you are right - the best way is the natural way.
but if you want to use ld's in professional therapy then one has to speed up the process of learning to become lucid somehow. stephen laberges novadreamer is one solution but expensive. a chemical kickoff under medical supervision - lets say used once a week wouldnt be too invasive and yet very useful for therapy. i will meet with a friend of mine in a few weeks who is pharmacologist - if i find out anything of interest then i'll post it on this forum.

Under your profile there's a space called "Custom Title". You can say something short about being a dreaming expert or something like that. Also, you can put in your signature how many LDs you've had or how long you've been LDing. The most you post relevant information, the more credibility you build for yourself. The post count's mainly to see how active ppl have been on the site.
