WILD: I Have A few Options; What Should I Do???

OK, so I've never bothered trying WILD before because it's not the kind of technique that works for me. I usually rely on DILDs with stuff like self-suggestion, RCs and the like. But yesterday I found myself looking at Clairity's WILD Tutorial (a thousand "thank you"s for that by the way!) and figured I'd have a bash at it.

Well, I went to bed and focussed my intentions and within about 2 minutes my eyes were going beserk. I deduced that I was in REM. I looked into the blackness for HI and I felt like I was being pulled into it. The whole pitch-black nothingness was zooming in and pulling me towards it. I really felt the G-Force. I was falling forwards into nothing. It was amazing!

My eyes were really freaking me out and even though I knew I shouldn't, and that I was perfectly safe, I stopped. I was still happy with the progress and decided I'd try again. The same events happened but I didn't pull myself out this time. I was in REM for a little while, probably just short of five mins, but there was no HI and I don't think I was in SP either.

So now I've got a few ideas in my head. These are what I consider to be my options:
      1. Wait for HI. I just need to be patient and wait for a bit longer
      2. Try and make shapes and images out of the darkness using my imagination and use them as bridges into the dream ... like HI but just the 'I', lol.
      3. Make LD self-suggestion while in REM and then just go to sleep (This one isn't a WILD, I know)

What would you recommend I do? Do you have any other ideas?

      Thankies,
      Duck

Edit: Well I just read about one thing I can improve on. I should do it after WBTB and not as soon as I lie down to go to sleep.

I say option 1. But, you need not focus on the HI for it to progress. You can count, or focus on your breathing.

But don't I need HI to enter the dream? Like, if I see an apple in front of me I can reach out and grab it, and then I'm dreaming. How do I enter the dream without HI?

It can be done that way, but others just use distraction such as counting or breathing to enter the dream, and the imagery forms nonetheless. Or they just end up in a dream effortlessly. Clarity's Wild Technique reccomends the breathing technique, or am I mistaken?

Probably. I read her tutorial but didn't follow it. I wasn't initially considering doing a WILD, I was just interested. Then that night I thought I'd try WILDing but I'd forgotten a lot of it.

OK. I'll just try and stay in the state and see what happens. Thanks
