im not even dimly aware in my dreams- let alone lucid! help!

I cannot seem to be aware enough in any of my dreams to even think about becomming lucid! i really really want to become lucid and im having the same problems as blacksampagne~! i hate it i really want to realise im dreaming. ive been trying for about 3weeks and nothing! my recall is even failing now! i am inspired and mesmerised by those who can become lucid at will and even more so - those who are always lucid! how cool is that!? i wish i could learn from them how to become aware. ive tried WBTB, WILD and MILD but i cant focus well enough.
I think one of the problems is that theres too many methods to chose from!!!! any advice?

I'd say just take a couple of days and relax.. maybe even more. Just don't stress about getting one. Sometimes these breaks are really crucial! Have you tried the naming subconscious method?

In the meantime until you do become lucid, you might try doing what I've been doing, and keep track of the things you are doing well and improving on such as dream recall and recording your dreams, and feel good about those things.

By keeping a record of the number of dreams I remember each night and striving to remember more dreams and find more discrepancies in those dreams, I am slowly building confidence in this venture that will hopefully one day get it through my thick skull to be aware during those dreams.

      Good luck.

Keep working on dream recall and RCs, but for immediate results, try to focus on LD types like WILD and HILD, that take you directly from consciousness into the dream faze.

Try grounding your arareness - this is where you focus on one particular thing and focus on it for the day. LIke your walking or your face or hands. you try to be completely aware of it during the day. Then move on to different things that you are aware of, like a clock , the time, the car color, the color of the carpet, the texture. It takes alot of practice but I have heard it to b every effective.

Don't worry keep trying methods and find one that works best for you. Im still trying to have a full LD and get past my tricky subconcious mind. Just look up Lucid dreaming techniques on google.com and you will find loads and loads of sights with methods and techniques to help you LD. Infact thats how i found Dream Views !
If practice makes perfect and nobody is perfect then why practice?

aww thanx guys! u have all helped heaps! i am beginning to be able to remember my dreams quite well and focusing on that helps me connect the two worlds together. also becoming more aware in general helps me pick up on small things and hopefully then i will learn to pick on the fact that im dreaming!
