      Wasted my time

Ok, I'm sure everyone read that a thousand times, but it seems that I will never be able to WILD. It's very important for me and I'm getting better and better with the time(more then 1 1/4 year and 100 tries), but only with SP and a warm feeling, that I'm floating. I never could get real images or even some kind of fuzzy landscape. Even if I'm really tired, I will lose the feeling with the time or just fall asleep. I often tried to believe that it'll work and it started good, but in the end I couldn't reach anything.

It's more like meditating... my mind is totally clear and I'm feeling very good, but that's all. I think I should stop, maybe it's some problem with the internals of my brain or something like that...

I feel your pain. I have been trying to WILD forever. I got really close a couple nights ago. I woke up at 2:30 AM and listened to a lucid aid audio MP3. After this I laid there for awhile and I felt my body floating and all of a sudden I could see a dream scene, I was still aware of my body but I could see the dream. Annyyywayz all of a sudden full SP kicked in and I heard this loud screeching noise which was so loud it scared me right out of my dream. I was SOOO close. It was frustrating. I guess the only advice I can give you is to keep on trying!

You sound like giving up. Have you tried the other ways? DILD is much easier and less stressfull in my opinion. Key to DILD's success is finding the reality check routine to fit into your daily routine in waking life. Like doing checks whenever you walk into a door or when turning on a light switch etc. it varies from person to person what their daily routine in waking life is. So you have to test and see which is the most comfortable way to implement the checks but it is way better than your WILDing..less painfull and you get results to get you going with the checks. There is also more freedom of choice where one way doesn't work you have infinite ways to come up with.

Yeah I tried other ways, didn't write all of them with success in my signature, but it's very important for me to get wilds to work. It's some kind of hobby for me, but after so many tries, it really seems to be impossible... Maybe I should try OBEs... the results would be the same.

I think AP first then OBE. I've had some, minimal experince with AP and it's easier than LDing. You 'feel' yourself standing opposite your bed looking at you the sleeping body. To make it more real you physically stand at the opposite side and see the bed for yourself and 'see' yourself lying there. Then after having enough impression of you standing there and 'seeing' yourself on the bed...go back to lying on your bed and 'feel' your still standing there. One of two things will happen 1) You get a vivid lucid dream maybe with OBE 2) You get a nightmare that something is out to get you from that spot where you stood.

OK, 1st things 1st. I can't WILD yet!. But I feel myself getting closer, WAY closer than I was when I was in your position.

I know im getting close, because I was like you. I could lay still for almost an hour. Relaxed....and slowly getting frustrated.

a few changes of WILD techniques later, combined with a way shorter WBTB and finally I can actually fall asleep whilst trying to WILD, and sometimes DILD as result.

sounds like you are having trouble falling asleep, how long are you awake for prior too?

i used to wait 45mins. Now i get up and have a drink and go straight back to bed.

You have to take a WILD tutorial and tune it to meet your own problems, I believe anyway.

Most of the time I go to toilet and then back to bed. I tried it again tonight after 5 hours of sleep, but ended up that I stayed awake. Now it's 9 hours(14:09) later and I'll try it again. My hardest problem is that I can't see stuff... because always when I try, my eyes want to open.
I learned how it has to be, but I can't get to that stage, this stage where your mind bringing up weird stuff and you only have to remind yourself to stay awake.
It happens if Im not too tired, but then I can't fall asleep.

personally WILDs come pretty easily for me, but there are still frustrating nights where it seems im just chillin in SP for hours. i RARELY see a lot of vivid Imagery before im actually dreaming. all people are different, but heres what i did when i was in ur position. i always have auditory hallucinations in SP, hearing stuff that isnt there. when that happens. i just sort of 'lose concentration' on whats going on, and i just kinda think of lucid dreaming and gaining lucidity. dont think about seeing things or seeing a dream. just stay still, let SP work its magic, and just relax to the max. for me, its almost like its at this point where i actually try falling asleep. you'll notice your mind wander, but still keep gaining lucidity in your dreams in mind. then all of a sudden, you'll have somethin presently goinging on in ur mind and the next thing ya know, ur chillin courtside with the lakers or something.(dreaming. ) =p

Have you tried DEILD's? I'm pretty sure that they are a form of WILD because you have a constant conscious thought. I like it because it only takes like 5-30 seconds to do. The only issue is mastering the ability of not moving once you wake up. I recommend the backyard DEILD. It is basically where you picture yourself walking around the perimeter of your back yard and touching stuff and visualizing stuff. You don't sound like a visual-type person. I have been working on a strictly kinesthetic DEILD technique. If you are interested, I can explain how mine works. But in conclusion.

      Benefits of DEILDs:

      Short time needed.
      Multiple attempts in a night.
      Little to no lost sleep.
Can chain WILDs (my record is 12).
Forget it! Nobody is going to get him! Long gone. DEVIN HESTER YOU ARE RIDICULOUS!

Punkstar, I'm tried your way for a month or two and it seems to go better, but I can't get the right state of mind to not fall asleep. I can push myself to sleep, but if it would be so easy I could be a pro in LDing. I think I will continue like that, probably i'm working at the wrong time with this.

I tried this with my backyard, but I always lost track of the imagination...
