The WILD method is most effective after waking up after 4 or 5 hours of sleep. With Practice, you can enter SP after only a matter of minutes... I've done it in around.. 3 minutes before.
The WBTB Method is kind of hard I think. Your kind of like me in the sense that staying awake too long, makes it very difficult to fall back asleep. I would suggest keeping a glass of water by your bed, and taking a drink after you wake up. That should clear your mind enough that you can begin the WBTB method and not be overly "fuzzy" or too awake.
