      wild WILD attmept

i tried to wild again...w00t...but i falied again............but a funny thing happened will i WILDed i got relaxed, and my body felt kind numb (not as numb as usual), i was counting and i did this for what felt like 20 or 40 minutes, but when i felt i would not succed, i looked at the clock and a little over 2 hours had passed! i must of fell asleep, then woke up!....also in the middle of my WILDing, i heard a loud noise....i do not remeber what it really sounded like, but it was too loud to be a car, so i kinda woke up....is that noise part of WILDing, i am not sure, and that would be the first time i have heard somthing during WILDing. i also tried imagining myself running, and riding a bike, and even swimming, but my mind was too crazy for some reason, and i could not focus.........anyways does anyone have any tips...

Time distortion is a pretty common side effect to WILDing.. not much to say about that really. I doubt you fell asleep unless you know you fell asleep. Its common to experience a consciousness 'blink' which is usually the result of dozing off to sleep briefly or losing awareness followed by immediately remembering your intent to remain aware. I find I "lose" alot of time when this happens.

Also hearing sounds is very normal as well; they are a form of hypnagogic hallucinations. Bangs, booms, buzzing etc are all very normal when you get to the later stages.

One of the biggest problems most people have with WILDing is a ongoing need or desire to be updated with the body condition. Asking yourself "Am I in SP? Why is my foot tingling? WTF was that?" for example. Doing so will distract you way to much and usually prevent you from fully relaxing. You need to find a way to calm your mind down. Meditation and many self relaxation methods do wonders.

My advice is focus on your breathing or a constant vivid mental image to take your mind off your body. Remember when you WILD you are still trying to fall asleep so don't get so worked up on the specifics. Consciously and subjectively remain aware during the transition and let your body relax; that's all. You need to train your mind to remain aware during the phase between wakefulness and sleep so any step forward is a huge success; just keep working at it.

Best thing you can do is visit the tutorial section as all of the symptoms and more are usually explained in detail. I'll link you to a post of mine that I suggest reading (At least the things you may want to know about). Anything that isnt in there can be found in the tutorial section on this website.
