      Cellphone vibration for induction

I've been thinking that the best thing to do for induction of a lucid dream while I am asleep, would be to have something vibrate a couple of times under my pillow. This would penetrate my dream but not wake me up.

A cellphone would be good for this, since it could be set in advance, and it could be set to go off during waking life as well, as a signal to do a reality check. This would create continuity between waking and dreaming life. It could go off every two hours or so, day or night.

The annoying thing is that my phone alarm doesn't stop vibrating unless you actually open the phone and turn it off. So I would have to wake up to make it stop vibrating. Are there any ideas out there, maybe for simpler devices? Or could I modify an old phone somehow? I'm open to ideas.

My phone also doesnt stop vibrating until you physically turn the alarm off too..but..you could somehow send a text to yourself at a certain time maybe? I know my phone only vibrates like 3 times when i get a text...but im not sure how you could send a text at a specific time...there might be things online that you can use to text yourself in the middle of the night..some websites let you send a text to anyone, for free, and some of the websites you can set it to send at a specific time too..i dont remember the websites though

I have been using my cell phone vibrate for years. I put it in my sock in the arch of my foot (it is a smooth phone) and I can pre-set like 6 times for it to alarm on.
It vibrates for about 10 secs. I use it to wake intermittently to remember dreams or WBTB. I did this as not to wake my wife with a traditional alarm clock.
I never thought to use it under my pillow as an induction mechanism.
I would have thought you need to use it through the day to develop the mental message that the phone is to check if you are dreaming. Maybe if you said messages to your mind when it vibrates during the day too.
      I will try it.

Well wouldnt it just be the same as a dream mask? You dont wear that during the day, you just know that once you see lights in your dreams it helps you realize your dreaming.
Seems like a cell phone vibrating could do the same thing, although im not sure what sensation it would be like in your dream to have your phone vibrate under your pillow, or if you'd even notice it?
