I do this all the time, its my second only way of LDing.
My first way is the 'wild' i guess! lol From what im reading
in here thats how ive been doing it all my life. I cant ever
make it happen.....but when i feel the drift from wakefulness
into sleep, all i do then is just push my dream body out and
into the dream. Then i immediatey fly through my window,
glass and all, and start flying....and then do whatever else
      i want to.

Actually for me, all a DEILD is is an extremely short WILD. What takes about 45 minutes in the morning takes less than 5 when you wake up. Be sure to not move, just start the standard WILD procedure by closing your eyes, and it starts within minutes. Many people use this for "chaining" LD's together, but you generally lose some quality the more you do it and run the risk of forgetting the origional the more you do it. However, that being said, last night I had an OK quality LD, woke up, did a DEILD, and had a short and extremely vivid dream, forgot the hand friction trick, and woke up in a matter of seconds, but that is not usually the case.
Does anyone else find it incredibly odd that out of ALL of the possible creatures on this earth, that most furries are either lupine, vulpine, or feline?

I really like the idea of a DEILD. I am going to try that tonight and see how it works.

DEILDs have been working really good for me lately, as far as becoming lucid. Although I don't always have very good control in my DEILDs.

When I have a DILD, "like last night" I have very very good control.
