I was better at it before I knew about it.

Ok so a few years ago when I was about 7-9ish I had alot of dreams where I could control them - like one time I decided to visit my Dad and his sister when they was younger so I simply just went there and well had a chat. When I told them it was time for me to leave I just blinked and I then moved to my next dream. I have also been stuck in a dream before. My house went up for sale and someone bought it but my parents forgot about me and I was left up in my sisters bedroom alone. So when the buyers moved in I asked them where did my parents move to - they didn't know so I told them that I was stuck in a dream and needed help but they didn't care. I was stuck in that dream for a while but eventually woke up. But nowadays I've only ever had 1 LD since I learnt about it (Well I actually only tried to LD during a week but...) which was weird... there were voices then I suddenly thought... wait a min, this is a dream! I got excited and then everything went fuzzy and I woke up. Since then I've had no dreams like when when I was about 7-9.

I haven't tried to LD much at all. But I'm deciding to give it a go. I don't know if this is significant but sometimes when I'm lying in bed I just relax and I am half asleep yet half awake. But then the slighest movement just snaps me out of it. I also can sit in a chair or something and just sit and stare for ages with nothing distracting me.

EDIT: I don't know if this is signifacant either but when lying in bed relaxed and I stare at my light on the ceiling it, alot of the times now on, flickers and moves about by a few cms or so...

Anyone got anything to say about this?

Forsight, I was the same way. I had frequent LDs until I was about 10, then it stopped for a few years until I started practicing it. Sounds like you have lots of potential and you are naturally drawn to meditation. I bet you could learn WILDing pretty quick. Do a search for WILD methods/techniques, it is one of the most guaranteed ways to LD.

It could be simply because kids have a much wider imagination and believe anything is real which would mostly include their dreams. Their minds seemed to be opened with greater possibilities and open mindedness.

I think a lot of people had lucids when they were kids but when they get onlder they no longer have them naturally. This is my experience as well.

Except now that your are actively trying to LD you should have better awareness insie of dreams, like in that dream you ha where you were stuck in your house, instead of going along with that, you will know you are dreaming and be conscous enough of it being a dream that you will think, "Hey, why would I want to spend my dream in my house, I'll go outside and do something cool"
